What is the fastest type of sailboat? - fast sailboat

I know that idea, and I tried to research, but I must know what is the fastest, and if you leave a link or a picture that would be great, thanks!

The fastest type of boat is a catamaran. Catamarans, and multihulls in general, tend to be faster than single-hull boats for four reasons:

each hull of a catamaran is (typically) thinner in cross section than those of monohulls;
Catamarans are lighter due to the fact that there is no keel counterweight.
Catamarans have a larger width (the distance from one side of the vessel to another), making it stable and therefore able to make more sail area per unit of length equal to a sailboat.
the greater stability means that the sails are more in a flood, more power, a sailboat is sailing to attract more likely to heel (lean) years.
A catamaran is most likely to achieve the maximum speed, if its motionnot unduly disturbed by waves. This is achieved in waters where the wavelength of the waves is somewhat greater than the length of the waterline of the hull, or is obtained by designing drilling shafts. Anyway, throw (Rocking Horse-like motion) is low. This led to claim that catamarans are especially favorable in coastal waters where the sheltered waters often reach the boat and get to allow maximum speed.

Catamarans boats are a good way cruise and long term: The Race (around the world in 2001) was won by the giant catamaran Club Med skipper Grant Dalton. It orbits the Earth in 62 days at an average speed of eighteen knots

I have heard of catamarans with wings before you get up to 60 knots. Ice boats can be very good because all three drivers have played a smooth surface.

"I will have many different opinions about. Having an interest in my car, I can say, like most sailors, which is the Veil" board may ", the fastest veil. While there is a new form of very small Tri-hull (boat about 13 feet), rises over the waterway, while the film. looks flat and fast! Although I saw the sail-boarders in Hood River, Oregon goes. and he lit his tail on fire.
everything I saw on the veil looks like my grandmother, in relation to these species.
but then I have an old "laser 1, which would have no problem in leaving behind most of the thumbs and big boats in the wind over 15 knots. Flagpole old gto curved, and I wanted to stop half way, as it is a busy shipping lane ......
